Meet Katie

My belief is that we all have the ability for greatness within us…

Sometimes it just takes time and self exploration to discover who we really are, and our unique gifts. How to leverage these gifts and align ourselves to our highest and truest potential is where things get juicy. I’ve witnessed countless times amazingly bright and talented people, of all ages, struggle to believe in themselves. What prevents this is fear, imposter syndrome, lack of confidence, and doubt. There are copious reasons that act as barriers to success, and the challenge I’m seeking to address is the unlock for both individuals and organizations to move past these obstacles to truly thrive and live up to their potential.

My hope is through partnership with individuals, teams and organizations progress is made for each person to achieve their very own version of success. For some people this could look like better work life balance, for others it’s landing that dream job or the next round of fundraising for a startup founder. There are many versions of success, and it all begins with your vision.

a deeper dive

Are you someone looking for HR Advisory? I’ve always been a passionate HR nerd. I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue the field and 16 years later, with both an undergrad and advanced degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from the ILR School at Cornell University - my fondness for the function has yet to wane.

What I appreciate most about this profession is impact. Through HR I have the ability to have a significant impact on a personal level with individuals, and also on a global scale within teams of all functions. I support companies through HR Advisory work to uplevel their talent strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives to foster a culture of excellence.

I’m an experienced global HR executive, most recently as VP, HR at BetterUp and was responsible for the end-to-end execution of talent strategy, business partnership, employee experience, total rewards, and leadership development. In addition to high growth tech, I also worked in retail and manufacturing spanning many states and countries, too. Additionally, I’m an ICF certified executive coach with ACC credentials.

As for outside of work

I love nature and feel most alive traveling the world and being outside, far away from any and all technology and the confinement of an office. Freedom is one of my strongest values, and moving my body and experiencing new places and culture fuels me.

You can find me in many different workout classes such as hot yoga or boxing, training for a half marathon (although I’m far slower these days), learning something new or working on my spiritual practice. I am always reading at least one book, trying out new pescatarian recipes and am an avid Buffalo Bills fan. I recently completed my Reiki certification and have been incorporating this regularly into my daily routine to stay grounded, access my center and channel stillness (which is not easy for me!). Lately, my innerwork is focused on living a fully authentic life.
